Tribeca Lobby
2019
Tribeca, New York
Set within a historic building in Tribeca, New York, this newly designed lobby is a refined study in elegance, materiality, and function. Drawing inspiration from the rich tradition of Art Deco lobbies, the space is defined by clean geometry, balanced proportions, and a serene material palette.
Walls are clad in warm white oak millwork, framing large slabs of honed blue de Savoie marble that anchor the space with subtle depth and texture. At the heart of the composition is a custom installation of CVL wall sconces—sculptural and luminous—serving as a focal point and a contemporary nod to the decorative artistry of early 20th-century design.
Custom brass lettering and detailing add moments of warmth and precision, while seamlessly integrated storage and a floating upholstered bench support the day-to-day needs of residents without compromising the purity of the design. The result is a timeless, elegant entry experience—quietly luxurious, highly functional, and deeply respectful of the building’s architectural heritage.
